As part of Architecture Week 2007 the Hinterland Project invites UNWETTER for a Discursive picnic along the banks of the River Trent. The people of Nottingham are invited to join them, as they try to discover though discussion, the change of the landscape in Nottingham and what a new arts centre might bring; methods of creating art outside a gallery environment; the regeneration of the city, (esp. riverside area) and how this may affect artists.
The picnic, along the banks of the historical river, will investigate the geographical site where ancient ferry crossings meet modern structures and buildings. It will conclude with an exploratory walk into the city to take a look at the physical manifestations of some of the afternoon’s discussions.
Join us by the riverside, bring some food to share and take part in an afternoon of lively discussion and debate. Picnickers are invited to be both guests and hosts at the same time, share knowledge, hints and ideas about production, food and blankets. Contributions to the UNWETTER Thermos-Box are also encouraged. No booking is required for this event, all are welcome and it’s completely free. Please bring along some food or drink to share.
